The Summer of 2010 will definitely go down in history as one of the busiest summers I have ever experienced. Visitors, vacations, moves and new jobs, oh my!  But, despite all of the madness, I have been loving every minute of it.  Especially today, when one of my fabulous new coworkers (I ♥ her) introduced me to what just may be the greatest dress of all time.

I am so madly in love with every little thing about this dress.  (Insert a really big swoon here.)  I especially love that my fabulous coworker rocked this number at her super chic bridal shower.  This is a woman after my own heart.  And, because she was just so darn adamant (like I needed convincing) that everything in this line is to die for, I did some research.  And so my love affair with Milly begins.

Which one will you wear to your bridal shower?

Man, it’s hot outside.  How hot, you ask?  (Or maybe you’re not asking, but I am going to tell you.)  It’s 110 degrees hot.  Run from my air conditioned car to my air conditioned house hot.  Crave popsicles and watermelon 24 hours a day, 7 days a week hot.  You get the picture… I am one sweaty and very tired (the heat does that) girl.

And, because I have been craving any and all fruit as though it’s a necessity for living (the aforementioned watermelon, along with apples, oranges and grapes… anything cold and juicy), I’ve been finding myself daydreaming more and more of gorgeous fruit-centric centerpieces.  I honestly can’t seem to get enough.

Yesterday, I fell madly in love with a pair of shoes.  Yes, they rest upon impossible for me to walk in 5-inch heels (I am not that gifted), but who can resist a pair of glittery gold shoes?  Not this lady.  If you see a 6′5″ sparkly brunette walking around Las Vegas, don’t run… it’s probably just me.

It’s official.  Flash and I have finished moving.  Hooray!  Sure, we still have tons of unpacking to do and the air conditioning was broken the first night in our new house, but it still feels so very, very wonderful to be completely done.  And now life, and this blog, can proceed as normal.  If I could only remember to never move again…

Well, as you can imagine, I spent the first few hours of freedom catching up on all of the wedding blog goodness that I was (sadly) missing out on last week.  And when I popped on over to J. Crew (oh, how I have missed you), I was greeted by what I like to imagine was a personal gift for all of my hard work.

The Spun Gold Tiernan Gown.  Swoon.

I am thinking me + this insanely gorgeous gown = a pretty nice housewarming gift.  Or maybe all of this moving has just gone to my head.  At any rate, it’s so good to be back!
